Abstract

Zamzami, Muhammad Najib. 2020. An Analysis of Code-Mixing Produced by Pendekar & Kopi Toast Janji Jiwa 256 WhatsApp Group Members. A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. Satate Institute for Islamic Studies of Salatiga. Counselor : Sari Famularsih, S.Pd.I, M.A. The aims of this research are to find out the following research questions such as what are the code-mixing used, the kind of word level in code-mixing and the most frequently used kind of code-mixing that produced by pendekar & kopi toast Janji Jiwa 256 whatsapp group members. This study applied descriptive qualitative method. The techniques of collecting data was through the observation and documentation based on members’ conversation of pendekar & kopi toast janji jiwa 256 whatsapp group. The result of this study showed 46 data of code-mixing were found. In this study found that the members produced some code-mixing, the researcher have found somes code-mixing such as shift, middle, grinder, flyer, chocolate, toast, pump, walk in, cash, input, opening, unsalted butter, sealer machine. The researcher also found six kind of code-mixing based on the theory by Suwito. There are six kinds (word level) of code mixing, they are word, phrase, hybrid, repetition, idiom, clause The researcher found 26 for word, phrase 10 data, hybrid 8 data, idiom 2 data, for repetition and clause the researcher didn’t find any data. The dominant kind were found after calculating the data used the theory by Anas. The word kind has percentage 57% as the highest data, followed by pharse with the percentage 22%, hybrid 17%, idiom 4%, repetition and clause 0%. So can be concluded that the dominant kind of code-mixing based on the percentage is word. Keywords : Code-Mixing, Kind, Dominant Kind, WhatsAapp group.
