Abstract

Zein, Shella-Intan Pertiwi. 2020. An Analysis of Directive Utterance on guruku Mr D in YouTube Comment. A Graduating Paper Submitted To The Board of Examiners as A Partial Fulfillment of The Requirements for The Bachelor Degree of Sarjana Pendidikan (S.Pd). State Institute For Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dra. Widyastuti, M.Pd Directive utterance is intended for the listeners or readers to do something as desired by the speaker or the author. But, not all people know all about kind and meaning of directive utterance. Therefor, the researcher did this research to analyze the kind and the meaning of directive utterance. The subject of this research is YouTube comment relate with Directive utterance on guruku Mr D. The methodology of this research was qualitative research. The technique of collecting data was documentation. To find the kind and the meaning of Directive Utterance on guruku Mr.D in YouTube comment. The researcher found 50 utterances the kind of directive utterance on guruku Mr D in YouTube Comment there are: Declarative sentence 6, interrogative sentence 28, imperative sentence 15, and exclamatory sentence 1 and the meaning of directive utterance researcher finds six the types the meaning of directive utterance on guruku Mr D in Youtube Comment there are: requesting 23, ordering 15, command 4, inviting 0, advising 6, and recommending 2.
