Abstract

Ain, Kurotul. 2020. Speech Acts Analysis used by Shopkeeper and Customer during Online Shopping Activity in @nokha.co Instagram Account. Graduating Paper of English Education Department of State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Conselour: Norwanto, S.Pd., M.Hum., Ph.D. The objectives of the study were to find out the types of speech acts, especially the types of illocutionary acts and perlocutionary effects used by shopkeeper and customer during online shopping activity through the comments of @nokha.co Instagram account. This research was generally answered the question what are the types of speech act used by the shopkeepers and customers in their utterances during online shopping. The methodology of this research was descriptive qualitative research method with the sourch of the data from comments of @nokha.co Instagram account. The data were collected from comments with different feed in @nokha.co Instagram account. The researcher encoded then reduced the data to analyze efficiently. Finally, the researcher concluded that there were four types of illocutionary acts (Assertive, directive, commisive, and expressive) in comments of @nokha.co Instagram account and there were four effects of perlocutionary acts found in the comments.
