An Analysis of the English Teacher Pedagogical Competence in the English Learning Process at Fifth Grade of SD Muhammadiyah Menoreh in the Academic Year of 2020/2021. A Graduating Paper Submitted to The Board of Examiners As A Partial Fulfillment of The Requirements for The Bachelor Degree of Sarjana Pendidikan (S.Pd.). State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Widiyastuti, M. Pd Pedagogy competence is the teacher ability in managing students learning from planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching and learning process. The quality of learning depends on the abilities of the teacher. Therefore, the researcher did the research to analyze the English teacher pedagogical competence in teaching, problems that teachers has found, and ways to solve them in fifth grade at SD Muhammadiyah Menoreh. The subject of the research is the English teacher in fifth grade at SD Muhammadiyah Menoreh. The methodology of this research was qualitative research. To collect the data, the researcher combining several methods, namely interviews and documentation. From the reseach, the researcher found that the English teacher in fifth grade at SD Muhammaiyah Menoreh was already good. There were several problems that faced by the teacher, including (1) students' embarrassment (2) Lack of support and student control (3) students presence (4) lesson plan development (5) student learning interest (6) lack of signals (7) the attitude assessment. For those problems, the teacher has several solutions, such as (1) doing continuous exercises (2) advising parents and family members to support student learning (3) giving a copy of the material (4) make an interesting, creative, and effective lesson plan (5) make interesting videos and pictures (6) collect assignments directly (7) do some observations Keywords: Pedagogic competence, teaching
