Abstract

ABSTRACT Uciyanti, Okvy Tiara. 2021. English Teachers’ Creativity to Create Lesson Plan during Covid-19 Pandemic. A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counselor: Dra. Widyastuti, M.Pd. The purposes of this study are (a) To find out English teachers at SMP N 3 Tengaran create a teachers’ creativity in making lesson plans during the Covid 19 pandemic, (b) To find out what the factors that support teachers creativity in making lesson plans are. This research is qualitative research. The subjects of this study are 2 English teachers at SMP N 3 Tengaran. Interview used to collected data. Data were analyzed from analyzing the creativity of English teachers in making lesson plans during the pandemic. These findings indicate several ways, guidelines, criteria, basic concepts and factors in making lesson plans. In making lesson plans, teachers must increase their creativity to present interesting learning activities. It was found that two guidelines were used, namely (1) the national curriculum, (2) the new normal syllabus. There are 2 criteria found, (1) based on the online learning application, (2) the composition in the offline lesson plan. There are 3 factors found when making lesson plans, namely (1) lack of student response, (2) the condition of students and their parents, (3) and teachers’ creativity in using media during the process of online learning activities.
