Abstract

The objective of this research to know what the types of Verbal Interaction among teachers and students in the English Foreign language classroom and to know the Impacts of Verbal Interaction among Teachers and Students in the classroom. The research method used qualitative research which aims to determine the verbal interaction of teachers and students in the English foreign language classroom, from May 3th until 24th 2021. This research was conducted with a focus on analyzing the direct interaction in the class 10 during learning. The methods used interview, observation and documentation with the teachers and four students, as well as observation by directly observing and learning videos in a class. The finding of this research is that the verbal interaction among the teachers and students in class 10 goes well, because the teacher can implement this interaction and the students can receive the good responses. From result observation, we can find the types of verbal interactions among teachers and students that is acceptance of feeling, praise or encouragement, accepting ideas, asking question, lecturing, giving direction, criticizing, respon and silence, and from this study, it can be explained that there are ten types verbal interaction among teacher and students in the English foreign language classroom.
