Abstract

This research is mainly aimed to develop the students’ vocabulary achievement through Make A Match Technique. This research will answer these main questions (1) What the implementation of the make a match technique can improve students’ vocabulary achievement of the tenth-grade students’ at MA Ma’arif Darul Aman Pringsurat in the academic year 2020/2021? (2) To what extent does use the make a match technique increase tenth-grade students’ vocabulary mastery at MA Ma’arif Darul Aman Pringsurat in the academic year 2020/2021? The material given to the students was vocabulary in the context of descriptive text. The sample for the research is twenty two students of natural science the tenth-grade of MA Ma’arif Darul Aman Pringsurat 2021. The methodology of this research used Classroom Action Research (CAR). It is conducted in two cycles. There is planning, action, observation, and reflection in each cycle. From the result, the researcher show that is an improvement of the students’ vocabulary achievement using make a match technique. It can be seen from t-test calculating in cycle I is 5 and cycle II is 7; t-table with n = 22 is 2,07. It means that the use of make a match technique is able to improve the students’ vocabulary achievement.
