Abstract

"Analysis of The Difficulties Faced by The Teachers in Implementing Online Teaching during Covid-19 Pandemic (A Descriptive Study at MTs NU Ungaran in The Academic Year 2021-2022)”. A graduating paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga. Counselor: Dr. Maslihatul Umami, S.Pd.I., M.A. The focus of this research is to discover the teachers' difficulties in implementing the online teaching during the Covid-19 Pandemic, and also the teachers' efforts to solve these difficulties. This study is descriptive qualitative study. The subject of this research are 4 (four) English teachers from MTs NU Ungaran. The data is obtained through interviews and documentation. A qualitative technique is use to investigate and interpret the data. The researcher found that MTs NU Ungaran English teachers had difficulties in implementing online teaching. This research produced two conclusions, firstly the teachers' difficulties in online teaching implementation are as follows: limited class control ability, students' delay of attendance, the obligation to creating fun and understandable learning, the students' ignorance tendency in class and limited students' internet quota. Secondly, the teachers' solve their difficulties in implementing online teaching by : utilizing digital aids properly, reaching passive students by homeroom and counselor teacher, providing link of online quizzes, giving pre-test and post-test, creating one week materials for students' in technological problems and joining some IT workshops.
