Arianto, Rizky Pratama. 2021. TEACHERS PERCEPTION ON E-LEARNING APPLICATIONS USED IN TEACHING ENGLISH DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT MTS NU SALATIGA IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2020/2021. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Educational Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies of Salatiga. Counselor: Sari Famularsih, S.Pd.I., M.A.. This research investigated e-learning applications that focused on teachers’ perception on e-learning applications used in teaching English before and during COVID-19 pandemic at MTs NU Salatiga in the academic year of 2020/2021. The subject of this research consist of two English teachers in MTs NU Salatiga. The objectives of the study were (1) To explain the teachers’ perception toward the use e-learning applications in teaching English during COVID-19 pandemic at MTs NU Salatiga in the academic year of 2020/2021. (2) To describe what kinds of problems the difficulties faced by teachers when using e-learning applications at MTs NU Salatiga in the academic year of 2020/2021.(3) To know what are the advantages the teachers’ feel when using e-learning applications in teaching English during COVID-19 pandemic at MTs NU Salatiga in the academic year of 2020/2021. This study used qualitative research, with a descriptive method. The author found that during the COVID-19 pandemic the teachers used the e-learning application in teaching English. The teachers gives their perception about the difficulties use of e-learning applications to teach English. Meanwhile, the teachers also gave their perception about their reason that difficulties when using e-learning applications. Keywords: Teachers, E-learning applications, COVID 19 pandemic.
