Ratna Ardiana. 2022. THE NON-ENGLISH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT STUDENTS' PERCEPTION OF ANXIETY IN FACING THE TOEFL TEST AT IAIN SALATIGA. English Education Department. This study aims to determine the level and factors that cause student anxiety when they will face the TOEFL test. This study uses a qualitative method. The subjects in this study were non-English students at IAIN Salatiga. Data was collected by using a questionnaire to determine the level of anxiety-causing factors. Interviews were conducted to obtain more in-depth information that was not available on the questionnaire. The results showed that the students' level of anxiety was anxious. Based on questionnaires and interviews, various factors affect the anxiety of non-English speaking students in facing the TOEFL test. There are at least four factors found in this study, namely they feel that the TOEFL test is a difficult test because this test uses English, students are afraid of their low English skills, they are afraid of failing the exam, and feelings of anxiety that arise when they will take the test. carry out the test.
