Abstract
This research investigates (1) the realization of English for Science (biology course); (2) students‘ achievement in biology between bilingual (English-Indonesian) vs monolingual (English) teaching method; and (3) students‘ perception on bilingual vs monolingual teaching method in English for Science (biology course) at international class program. Dealing with these purposes, qualitative and quantitative methods were employed to analyze the data. The finding of the study shows that students from bilingual class reach greater achievement than monolingual class. The result of interview also reveals that most of students agree that bilingual teaching method really helps them in understanding the lesson. Finally I conclude that bilingual teaching method still becomes the best teaching method in English for Science at international class program. The role of teacher in English for Science is not only a teacher who conveys the material, but he also must be qualified as a practitioner who takes role in explaining, teaching, providing the material, designing the lesson plan, specializing in specific terminologies in science, and also evaluating the course in the classroom.
