Abstract

The researcher is conducted to know the influence of gender on English as foreign language learner’ anxiety and motivation in speaking class of IAIN Salatiga.The methodology of this research was quantitaive reserach. The techniques of collecting data were documentation and using questionnaires. The researcher used two questionnaires. The first was FLCAS questionnaire. It was used to collect anxiety students in EFL Learners as the respondents of this research. The second was AMTB questionnaire. It was used to collect motivation students in EFL Learners’, there are several formulas used by the researcher, such as the formula of Expected Cell Frequeny (Fh) and Chi Square (X2). The researcher got 45 respondents for this research, it consist 28 female and 17 male students in third semester. The researcher found that there is no significant differences between female and male students’ anxiety and motivation in English as foreign language.
