Counselors: (I) HanungTriyoko, M.Hum, M.Ed., (II) Mashlihatul Umami, S.Pd.I.M.A. Keyword: Learning Style, Writing, Multiple Intelligences This research is an attempt to find thestudents’ writing styles based on Howard Gardner’s theory of Multiple Intelligence of the sixth semester students of International Class of STAIN Salatiga in the academic year 2013/2014. The main questions that want to be answered by the researcher is: (1) what is the type of Multiple Intelligence of the sixth semester of English Department students of International Class of STAIN Salatiga? (2) what are the writing styles performed by the sixth semester of English Department students of International Class of STAIN Salatiga? (3) what is the dominant writing styles performed by the sixth semester of English Department students of International Class of STAIN Salatiga? The is a descriptive research with qualitative approach.Questionnaire and guided interview is the method of collecting data to be analyzed. Result of this research indicates that the most dominant intelligence performed by the students are Interpersonal Intelligence, Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence, Logical-Mathematical Intelligence and Musical Intelligence.Theresearchshows that the students perform various writing styles based on their preferences and intelligences. The most preferable writing style is Intrapersonal writing style since they need to develop their writing freely. The next style is Interpersonal writing style through cooperative learning. The following writing style performed by them is Musical style which is done by finding the idea though listening to the music. It is followed by Bodily Kinesthetic writing style that is performed by doing several bodily activities in writing. Another style is Linguistic writing style by reading some books and conducting discussion. Natural Intelligence writing style is the next style favored by the students through working in the nature. Logical Mathematical writing style is also posed by the students by making outline of writing to help them arranging their idea. Finally Visual-Spatial writing style is taken into account by the students through drawing, describing the picture and watching some videos related to the topic of writing is quite helpful for them. This research finding shows that writing is not merely a kind of literacy activity which requires the work of left hemisphere. Instead, it can be developed through various ways out of the area of literacy works.
