Abstract

One of the problems in learning Sciences at primary schools(SD/MI) is thatlack of variety in the learning activities, which arelikely moreconcern to logical-mathematical intelligence. Meanwhile, each student has a varied intelligence, thus itis a necessity to develop a learning in Sciences usingvarious learning activities andfocus on students' multiple intelligences. Concerning tothose problems,theresearcherhas conducted a study that aims to develop a learning model in Sciencesbased on Multiple Intelligences that more varied on the method and media oflearning.This study is survey method. The researcher collected Data by usingseveraltechniques such as questionnaire, interview, and documentation. The subject of thisstudy was the teachers of Islamic Primary School (MIM PK) Kartasura in CentralJava. The stages in this research are 1) formulating research problems anddetermining survey objectives 2) determining concepts and hypotheses as well asdigging literature 3) sampling 4) making quesioner 5) field work 6) data processing7) analysis and reporting.the score showed that the need assessment levelis 3.54 andinterviews of factual condition, product development stage, FGD, validation of expertand practitioner, andfield trial. The feasibility of this model is assessed according to:1) Assessment of psychologists that assessed three aspects, including the supportingtheory used, elements of the learning stage and techniquescored 4, 77 which means"very feasible" to be used. 2) Assessment of educational practitioners is also assessedaccording to three aspects which scored of 4, 33 means "very feasible" to be used.3)Assessment of field trialsaccording to four aspects such as detection of MultipleIntelligences, method and media of learning. Field trials wereconducted with anindividual trial scored 3.56 which means "very feasible", the group trial on the fieldresulted 3.59 means "very feasible" and limited field trials scored 3.8 also means"very feasible" to be used.Based on the findings of research on the field showed: factual condition andneed assessment that teachers require a learning model based on multipleintelligencesas well as the need to produce a chart of the learning in Sciences thatcontains: 1) potency of the Islamic Primary School (MI), 2) implementation of thelearning in Science of MI-based, 3) significance of learning in Sciences of MI-based,4) Output of the learning implementationin Sciences of MI-based. The effectivenessof learning model in Sciences based on multiple intelligencesin accordance with anincreased average of the individual tests resulted 3.56, group trials 3.59 and limitedtrials with an average of 3.8.
