Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out the role of using reward andpunishment in English teaching-learning process and to find out the significantinfluence of the using of reward and punishment in English teaching-learningprocess. At last it also to find out why there is any significant differentinfluences of using reward and punishment in English teaching-learningprocess.To find out the influence of reward and punishment in English teaching­learning process, the writer uses pre test before treatment (reward andpunishment) and post test after treatment (reward and punishment), he alsouses interview, documentation, and observation as research method. Based onthe findings of the research, the writer find the result of the t-test above shows8, 98. Then it is compared with the figure on the t-table with 0,0 l ofsignificance in degree of freedom 15 which shows 2, 134. We can concludethat the students are more motivated in teaching-learning process by usingreward and punishment.
