Abstract

Classroom actionresearch is research designed to help a teacher find out what is happening in her or hisclassroom and to used that information to make wise decisions for future. Classroomaction research is cycling processes, this research consist of four cycles. The writer and acollaborator make wise decisions to use communicative approach to find out achievementbefore and after using communicative approach, describe the interest of the students inteaching reading comprehension used communicative approach. The object this researchis the first year students of MTs Sudirman Kopeng. They consist of 35 students. Thisresearch intended to be qualitative and quantitative approach. The writer used observationand test. The writer used field note as an observation to find out the students interest andmotivation. And test used to find out students achievement. The result hopefully wouldmotivate teacher to use the communicative approach. In their classroom, especially whenthey teach reading comprehension to the first year students of junior high school.
