Abstract

The Aim of this research is to find out whether realia can improve thestudents' interest and vocabulary mastery in teaching learning process of the thirdyear students in MI Nurul Azhar Terban Pabelan.The methodology of the study is collaborative classroom action research;where the writer was a teacher in teaching learning process, and she had a partner asobserver in learning activities. To find out the student's improvement of vocabularymastery, she applied test, namely pre test and post test. She implemented two cycles.Each cycle consist of planning, implementation of the action, observation, andreflection.The finding shows that realia can improve the student's interest in teachinglearning process. It is can be seen by the result of pre-test and post-test in cycle I is 7,13 and in cycle II is 8, 08. Both of them is greater than t-table with n =24 is 2, 06. Itmeans that the use of realia can improve the students' vocabulary mastery.
