Abstract

ABSTRACT Madrasah Head Leadership Patterns and Their Implications on Teacher Performance in Nahdlatul Ulama MTS (NU), West Ungaran, Semarang Regency. This study reveals the madrasa headmaster's leadership pattern, and its implications for teacher performance, which was conducted in Semarang District. The study uses qualitative methods, which consist of observations, interviews an dokumentation. This field research results in the leadership pattern carried out by the head of MTS Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Ungaran, using collaborative leadership patterns and active leader who collaborate with democratic, transformasional, and authoritarian leadeship pattens. In the pattern of leadeship, there are strategies including dismpline and authority in opinion. The implication of leadership patterns on improving teacher performance reaches several competencies. This because each will do something related to shared interest in the madrasah environment always preceded by making a good planing. Before implementing something, of course, it must be discussed or disseminated to its members, in this case the teacher and staff council in the madrasa. The results of this study can be used as a reference assignment policy and evaluation system for students in the field of education.
