Abstract

Scrabble Game is kind of the media provide pattern of vocabulary to make easier for study vocabulary .The research analyzed are theorized are does the Use of Scrabble Game and Strategy to Improve Student Vocabulary Mastery(a classroom action research of the seventh year students of SMP Negeri1Kaliwungu in The Academic Year 2019/2020). The research was conducted in SMP N 1 Kaliwungu Ds. kaliwungu kec. Kaliwungu Kab.Semarang .Thirty four students of seventh grade of SMP N 1 Kaliwungu were instructed through scrabble game to improve student vocabulary mastery .To answer the question , the research used Quantitative approach .this research used classroom action research method it is conducted in 2 cycle .To give the students more opportunity to improve their understanding about vocabulary. Each cycle consist of planning action, observation and reflection. The result showed the students vocabulary mastery improves significantly .The T calculation result show that the T calculation of the cycle 1 is 6.178 and cycle 2 is 6.047.it means that using scrabble game can improve students’ vocabulary mastery.
