Abstract

Rosyadi M Alif Imron, 2020. Promoting The Followers’ Autonomous LearningBy Using Daily Quizzes on Joesin’sInstagramAccountA Graduating Paper, English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Institute for Islamic Studies (IAIN) Salatiga. Counsellor: AprilianRiaAdisti, M.Pd. This research focuses on autonomous language learning by students who follow joesin’s daily quiz on their instagram account. This research aims to answer the following research questions: (1) How is the implementation of daily quizzes on joesin’s instagram account to promote followers’ autonomous English learning? (2) How is the progress of the followers’ autonomous English learning by using daily quizzes on joesin’s instagram account?. The data source of this research are the telephone interview answers and opened questionnaire answers. At the end, the researcher draws the conclusion which is in a accordance with the research finding. The result of this research show that (1) Joesin’s daily quiz helps students who follow to learn English independently by reading, and trying to answer the exercises, quizzes (test yourself, find the words), conseling, posts, and instastory of joesin’s daily quiz. (2) Joesin’s daily quiz helps students who follow joesin’s daily quiz in improving their English language aspect especially in increasing their competence in vocabulary grammar and writing from joesin’s daily quiz content. Most of them stated that joesin’s daily quiz helps them to increase their new vocabulary. Key Words: Autonomous Language Learning, Joesin’s Instagram Account, Language Learning, Daily Quiz.
