Abstract

Pratama, Willyar Alibra. 2020. “AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ DEVELOPMENT IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING THROUGH THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL JOESIN TRANSLATION”. Graduating Paper. English Education Department, Teacher Training and Education Faculty, State Institute for Islamic Studies of Salatiga. Advisor: Aprilian Ria Adisti, M.Pd. The objectives of this research are to find out whether Youtube channel Joesin Translation can help students to be an English language learner and what is the english aspect that develops in students when learning English through Joesin Translation?. This research used descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this research were eleven students of IAIN Salatiga who have followed learning through the Joesin Translation Youtube channel. The data were collected from the observation on the Joesin Translation Youtube channel. Moreover, the interview and questionnaires were conducted to students who followed Joesin Translation. The result of this research shows that (1) Joesin translation helps students to be English language learners by facilitating the students about the contents to learn English. They are watching the videos and trying to answer the exercises and quizzes. (2) The english aspect that develops in students when learning English through joesin translation is vocabulary.
