Abstract

ABSTRACT Oktoviyano, Aldo. 2020. The Effectiveness of Using Google Classroom to Teach Student’s Vocabulary Mastery on Action Verb at the Ninth Grade Students of MTs Al Mina Bandungan in the Academic Year 2020/2021. A Graduating Paper. English Education Department. Teacher Training and Education Faculty. State Institute for Islamic Studies of Salatiga. Counselor: Nur Muthmainnah, M.Pd. The aims of the research were; (1) to find out the difference between student's vocabulary mastery before and after taught using Google Classroom on action verb, the subject were ninth grade students of MTs Al Mina (2) To find out the effectiveness of using Google Classroom to teach vocabulary mastery on action verb material of the ninth grade students at MTs Al Mina Bandungan. The researcher used pre-experimental design in this research. The subjects were the ninth grade students of MTs Al Mina Bandungan which where 27 participants in total. Pre-test and post-test were conducted to compile the data. The data was analyzed through SPSS 22.0 version for windows and interpreted through quantitative procedure. The results indicated that the mean score of the post-test is higher than score of pre-test. It can be verified by 85.37 the mean of post-test and 43.89 the mean of pre-test. Moreover, Based on the statistical analysis using T-test with SPSS 22.0 version for windows, the comparison of the mean scores analyzed by using paired Sample T-test. The result of T-test showed that significant value (sig-2 tailed) is 0,002, and it is lower than 0.05 (0.002 < 0.05). It means that there is a significant difference in vocabulary mastery score before and after taught using Google Classroom Application at ninth grade students of MTs Al Mina Bandungan. After all, the use of Google Classroom Application to teach vocabulary mastery at ninth grade students of MTs Al Mina Bandungan is effective. Keywords : Vocabulary, Action Verb, Google Classroom.
