Abstract
This study has objectives to find the moral value found in the novel and the most dominant moral value contained in the novel. The method of this study that the writer uses is descriptive qualitative which describe qualitatively the content of the novel without any calculation required. In addition, to analyze the novel, the writer uses Schwartz‟s theory. As the result of this study, the writer found several moral values based on Schwartz‟s theory such as power, benevolence, self direction, conformity, tradition, security, hedonism, universalism, stimulation, a nd achievement. The most prominent value in the novel is power that involves moral such as ambition of social status, being dominance, and controlling over people. This value shows about 10 data. Then the second number is benevolence that includes mature love, true friendship, responsibility and affection which shows 8 data. The third value is self direction which includes how people making decision and being independence. This provides seven data. Like the previous value, conformity that contains honoring parents, obedience, and politeness. This serves 7 data. The next value that place fifth place is tradition. This value is related to acceptance toward customs. This value shows about 6 data. Next value is security that tells about sense of belonging. There are 4 data that explains sense of belonging. Hedonism that explains pleasure of life for own reason is found about 4 data. The following value is universalism that describes social justice and equality. This value provides 2 data. The ninth value is stimu lation that is related to strive on exciting life. This value also provides 2 data. And the last value that appears once is achievement. This tells about the successful experience of someone.
