The methodology of research was quantitative research using a quasi-experimental research. The technique of collecting data were pre-test and post-test to find out the students’ reading skill of descriptive text, and documentation to give an illustration the researchprocess. The writer finds that there is significanteffectivenessin the use of multiple choice-assessment in students’ reading skill ofdescriptive text of at MA Darussalam Wonosegoroin the academic year 2018/2019. pre-test between experimental class and controlled class got similar level at 0.419. p value (0.419)>? (0.05) so Ha is accepted. The result of T-test of post test is 0.00. These T-test result show that there is significant effectiveness byusingmultiple-choice assessment because p < ? for N=20 students of MA Darussalam Wonosegoro. Then, the answer of statistical hypothesis is;there is any significant effectivenessof using multiple choice-assessment in students’ reading skill of descriptive textandHow is the effect size of multiple choice assessment towards reading skill in descriptive text of tenth grade students at MA Darussalam Wonosegoro in the academic year 2018/2019. So, alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and nullhypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the effect size isstrong in using multiple choice-assessment the learning reading of descriptive text.
