Abstract

The methodology of this study is qualitative study, its means that it doesnot need statistic approach to explore the material. In this research the writersresearched about the structural analysis of the movie of the Harry Potter and thePrisoner of Azkaban, its means that the research didn't need quantitative data.Qualitative research is a search of which the data are written or oral words aredescriptively analyzed. The data sources are primary data and secondary data. Theprimary data are the novel and the movie of Harry Potter and the Prisoner ofAzkaban, The secondary data is the underlying theory of the analysis and theother documents concern to the analysis.The result of this study is there are any differences between the structuralanalysis of the novel and the movie of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azk:aban.There are in minor character, the director deleted some character from the novelsuch as peeves, madam pomfrey and the creature of Hippogriph+, actually at thenovel the creature of Hippogriph more than one but the director just appeared onecreature of hippogriph. In the setting, sometimes the director changes the place ofhappen, for example in the novel when Sirius captured and he was locked in theFlitwick office but in the movie he was locked at the tower. In the plot, thedirector cut some plot without less the content of the story itself. For example, inthe movie Hoqwart Quidditch competition deleted, (whereas in this series, for thefirst time Harry get the victory Quidditch cup for Griffindor). Just one Quidditchcompetition was showed. . In the movie not showed how Hermione boughtCrookchanks, her cat. Harry for the first time met with Ron Weasley andHermione when they were on fight at the Leaky Cauldron and Crooksanks havebeen there. In the movie, Sir Cadogan was cut.The moral value aspect from the story of Harry Potter and the Prisoner and· the Prisoner of Azkaban is about stoicism that is the attitude of calmly, patienceand firmness. The others moral value is carefulness and bravery. The theme of thestory of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the wickedness will berevealed although covered very close and need a sacrifice for reveal them.Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is the story about the problembetween the rule and moral principle has to fulfill. It focused at the story context.All of the plot at this story tells about honesty; obey to authority and faithfully ofthe rule. But, actually it is not always moral act have to do especially when manythings have to risk. Performance can make a cheated.The writers hope the result of the research will give addition information.Contribution, and stimulates for the students or readers in studying Literature.
