Counselor: Miftachudin, M.A. Keywords: Writing Skill, Essay, Digital Magic Card The objectives of the study are: (1) to know the implementation of Digital Magic Card for students writing essays about daily routines for 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Banyubiru in the academic year 2019/2020. (2) To find out the significant improvement of the digital magic card to improve students’ writing essays about daily routines for 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Banyubiru in the academic year 2019/2020. The number of research subjects is twenty-nine students of the 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Banyubiru. The method of this research is Classroom Action Research. The research consists of two cycles, and divided into four steps: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The collected data were qualitative and quantitative. The implementation of Digital Magic Card was successful to make the students pay their attention, the class become active, and enthusiastic. The use of Digital Magic Card extents improvement on the students’ writing skill from students’ scores of pre-test and post-test. The mean of pre-test in the cycle I and cycle II are 38.89 and 75.75. The mean of post-test in cycle I and cycle II are 55.00 and 85.24. The mean of the post-test in cycle II is higher than of the post-test in cycle I. It means that using the Digital Magic Card can improve students’ English writing skill. The T-test of cycle I (8.450) and cycle II (6.353) are higher than T-table (2.048) it means that, there is a significant improvement in writing skills after being taught by using Digital Magic Card.
