English Education Department. State Institute for Islamic Studies Salatiga. Counselor: Widyastuti, M.Pd. This research is intended (1) To find out what the problems faced by Islamic education in learning English, (2) Causes and the description of the problems faced by Islamic education IAIN Salatiga in learning English especially in lack of confidence to speak and learn English. The research design of this study was Qualitative Research the problems consist of a several problems there are less of vocabulary, don?t understand about the grammar, don?t understand the lesson, the way the lecturer taugth, don?t know about the pronunciation, hard to memorize, never practice after the lesson over, less supportive environment for learning English, shy to speak English at the class of speaking because they afraid wrong pronunciation and not know English yet like the tenses and the verb, even more for the English language it?s difficult to study almost in their opinion the English language like the new culture they learned, not even this problems what in the paragraph above without the psychological problems of their self.
